Senator Oluremi Tinubu Writes Police IGP, 'Senator Melaye Is After My Life''

Wife of All Progressive Congress  leadership,Senator Oluremi Tinubu has reported Senator Dno Melaye to the acting inspector general of police,Mr. Idris,over the recent altercation.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu said her life is not safe anymore and requested police protection from IGP,Mr. Idris

"During the proceedings of the senate on july 14 2016,I had cause to contribute to a matter of   national importance. Apparently dissatisfied with my contributions,Senator Melaye threw caution to the wind, resorted to vulgar abuse of my person and wanted to assault me,"she said in a letter written to IGP, Mr. Idris.


"It was the timely intervention of a number of colleagues which prevented senator Dino Melaye from unleashing physical attack on me.
 However,as the leadership of the senate did not call him to order in my circumstances,he proceeded to threaten my life without any povocational whatsoever.

"In view of senator Dino Melaye's antecedant particularly in the House of Representatives where a brawl led to untimely death of a member,I have decided not to ignore his threat to my life.
 Therefore,I am compelled to urge you to use your good offices to provide me with adequate security.
