APC Jubilates As Four PDP Chairmen Emerge In Imo State

No fewer than four persons are currently claiming to have emerged from Congresses by factions of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State.

The claimants to the chairmanship seat includes Nnamdi Anyaehie, Charles Ezekwem, Greg Owuamalam and Chuks Ajaelu.

According to Vanguard, the impasse may not be unconnected with the palpable interests of some party bigwigs, who are allegedly eyeing the 2019 gubernatorial poll. Feelers from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, showed that the Commission has recognized the Charles Ezekwem faction, even as the Anyaehie group described the news as false.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress, APC, loyalists in the state have started jubilating over the continuing discordant tunes coming from the PDP family. One of the party loyalists prayed fervently for the PDP to remain crisis-ridden till 2019.

“To tell you the truth, APC loyalists are very happy with what is happening in the PDP at all levels. It is our fervent prayer that the crisis should gain greater momentum in the days ahead”, the APC loyalist said.
